Tour program
Airport pickup. Hotel check-in. Evening walk along Arbat pedestrian street — Zhibek Zholy. Getting to know the atmosphere of Almaty, first dinner at a restaurant with panoramic views.
Morning: ascent to Medeu ice rink and Shymbulak resort by cable car (2200 m). Coffee with Tian-Shan views. Afternoon — Kok-Tobe cable car, city viewpoint. Evening: Green Bazaar — tasting dried fruits, nuts, and honey.
Morning: Central State Museum of Kazakhstan — history from the Neolithic to the present. Afternoon: Kazakh cuisine masterclass with a head chef (beshbarmak, baursak, koumiss). Free evening.
Flight Almaty → Shymkent (1.5 hrs). Lunch in the old town. Walk through the historic center: Ordabasy Square, Botanical Garden. Evening — traditional Shymkent plov.
Transfer to Turkestan (1.5 hrs). Hazret Sultan Mosque (contemporary, one of the largest in the CIS). Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi — a 14th-century architectural masterpiece, UNESCO. Medieval trade dome "Rabat". Overnight in Turkestan.
Flight to Astana. Check-in. Evening excursion: Baiterek — the symbol of the capital (105 m), with the President's handprint. Walk along the Yesil River embankment. Astana's night panorama.
Morning: Khan Shatyr — a tent-shaped indoor city-park (Norman Foster). EXPO-2017 grounds — "Future Energy" pavilions. Visit to the National Museum of Kazakhstan. Airport transfer and departure.
